The Superga brand was born in 1911 when "Walter Martiny" started the production of rubber soled footwear marked with the Superga logo, named after the famous “Hill” of Superga in Torino Italy.
In 1925 the classic canvas shoe was introduced for the first time when Superga began to produce shoes for sports such as tennis, badminton, squash and basketball. These same classic shoes are produced to this day.
Since the introduction of the classic shoe, Superga has become part of Italian culture with most people in Italy wearing their first pair as children.
Today Superga is over 100 years old and still produces the finest quality canvas footwear in the world. Superga exclusively produces canvas footwear for esteemed brands such as Fendi, Swarovsky and Max Mara.
After almost a century of producing traditional Italian classic shoes, Superga has rightfully taken its place as “The People’s Shoe of Italy”.
