Style On The Move – ‘Leaders of the New Cool’
We draw inspiration from the Hip Hop movement of the 90’s ‘The Leaders of The New School,’ defined freedom of expression, tolerance and experimentation. The East Coast ‘Leaders of the New School’ hip hop group was based in Long Island, New York, known for hits like ‘Teacher’ and ‘What’s next?’
Our latest Studio 88 shoot was just that – inclusive, collaborative and experimental. We’re celebrating our online store, and working to become ‘Leaders of the New school.’ Showcasing many of the top International brands at highly competitive prices – it’s impossible to ignore Studio 88’s impact on the South African branded retail market.
Leaders of the New Cool
Our latest shoot was shot at a trendy venue in Rivonia, Johannesburg, ‘The Beach – Rivonia.’ The venue boasts a chilled beach setting, a kind of oasis vibe in the heart of Johannesburg. A relaxed environment to enjoy cocktails under tall palm trees, with soft beach sand underfoot.The decor smacks of a luxury beach hotel with DJ’s playing music typically heard at beach parties. A perfect setting for summer-inspired photoshoot.

All leaders in the respective fields but connected by a common interest – Hip Hop - whether in support or by contribution – they are all part of the culture of Hip Hop in the creative spaces in Johannesburg.
