adidas x Studio 88 Real Madrid Competition Terms and Conditions
1. This competition runs from (09h00) Tuesday, 8th November 2024 to (00:00) Friday , 15th December 2024. (“closing date”).
2. The Promoters are Blue Falcon 188 Trading (Pty) Ltd trading as Studio 88 (Studio 88) Group of Companies, whose registered office is, Aeroton Business Park, 30 O'Connor Place, Aeroton, Johannesburg, 2013, and adidas South Africa (Pty) Ltd (adidas) whose registered office is 2nd Floor, Unit 2C, Black River Park, North Park, Fir Road, Observatory, 7925, Cape Town, South Africa.
3. This competition is open to all residents of the Republic of South Africa who are in possession of a valid South African identity document, except any person who is-
3.1. a director, member, partner, spouse, life partner, immediate family member, employee or agent of, or consultant to the Promoters or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by the Promoters; or
3.2. a director, member, partner, spouse, life partner, immediate family member, employee or agent of, or consultant to the supplier of goods or services in connection with the competition.
3.3. anyone who within a period of 183 days preceding this competition has won any competition organised, promoted, or conducted by the Promoters, or who resides at the same address as such a winner, or who uses the same telephone number as a previous winner to enter this competition.
4. The Competition involves international travel and therefore -
4.1. the winner and their selected accompanying person must be over the age of 18 must meet and comply with all the legal requirements for international travel relating to a minor.
4.2. the winner and their accompanying person must be eligible to obtain a VISA, if required, to travel to Spain, and must hold a valid passport with at least 6-month validity after the return date or be able to obtain one in good time to apply for and obtain the VISA.
4.3. The winner accepts all responsibility and costs associated with obtaining the necessary travel documentation timeously. The Promoters do not accept any liability howsoever arising from the winner’s failure to obtain the required travel documentation.
5. It is a material condition of this Competition that a winner and their accompanying person must not have a criminal record.
6. By entering this competition, you and your accompanying partner agree to comply and abide with these Terms and Conditions.
7. Entrants
7.1. Participants can enter the competition by purchasing any adidas 24 / 25 Real Madrid replica jersey including the Home, Home Authentic, Home Long Sleeve, Away and Third Jersey at participating Studio88 stores as well as on the Studio88 online store www.studio-88.co.za.
7.2. Entry can be done using a smart phone by scanning the QR code found in-store or on the Studio88 Webpage and following the prompts.
7.3. Should there be multiple qualifying purchases, each purchase will be treated as an individual entry and a participant must follow the prompts for each purchase, utilising the unique till slip number for each item.
8. This competition requires a proof of purchase to be submitted in order to qualify and is only available at participating Studio 88 stores in the Republic of South Africa. Entries made on the Studio88 website (www.studio-88.co.za) will also require participants to upload their invoice, which can be sent to them electronically.
9. A key requirement of entry in this competition, is that the customer must keep a copy of their receipt until the winner is announced, for verification purposes. The elected winner may be required to provide their receipt.
10. Exclusions from the competition:
10.1. Any purchase of the 24/25 Real Madrid replica jersey including the Home, Home Authentic, Home Long Sleeve, Away and Third Jersey made on lay-buy is excluded, until such time as the purchase has been completed.
10.2. Any purchase of the 24/25 Real Madrid replica jersey including the Home, Home Authentic, Home Long Sleeve, Away and Third Jersey that is returned for any reason whatsoever, other than due to a defect in the jersey. Should a jersey be returned due to a defect, a participant will be required to change the jersey for a 24/25 Real Madrid replica including the Home, Home Authentic, Home Long Sleeve, Away and Third Jersey in order to retain their entry into the competition. If a return of the jersey is made other than due to a defect, the customer’s entry will be removed from the competition.
11. The prize is non-transferable and may not be exchanged for cash.
12. Within (7) seven working days after the closing date, a winner will be selected by a random draw conducted by the Promoters, or a person nominated by the Promoters. The estimated value of the prizes is R120 000 for the winner and their partner and includes:
12.1. Return flights (Economy class) to Spain for the winner and a partner (provided that the above terms regarding minors have been met);
12.1.1. Should the winner and partner, for any reason whatsoever not be allowed onto their booked flight or fail to arrive timeously, an alternative flight will not be covered, and will be for their personal expense.
12.2. Two match tickets (General attendance) to watch a Real Madrid match, to be played between 22 December 2024 and 23 February 2025
12.3. Travel insurance is included and covered by adidas.
12.4. Three nights hotel accommodation in a standard room (to be shared by the winner and partner) and includes breakfast, lunch and dinner.
12.4.1. Should the winner and their partner wish to extend their time in Spain, any additional accommodation and expenses incurred will be for their personal account.
12.5. Visa’s costs are covered by adidas.
12.6. Passport costs are not covered by the Promoters. The winner and the partner must have a valid transport documentation timeously or risk forfeiting any prize.
12.7. Transfers to and from hotel is covered by adidas.
12.7.1. Should the winner and their partner wish to extend their time in Spain, any additional transfer expenses incurred will be for their personal account.
12.8. Please note that spending money is not covered by the Promoters and is for the winner’s own expense.
13. The Second Prize, for the runner up winner shall be: 1 x Hisense TV (55 inch). The Winner is required to have a TV Licence.
14. Winners will be contacted electronically or telephonically within 7 working days of the draw taking place.
15. The winner must not have a criminal record and required to have a valid South African identity document.
16. The winners is required to meet the standard requirements to get access to a visa.
17. The prize is non-transferable and may not be exchanged for cash. The winner must claim their prize within 48 hours of being informed that they had won the prize and failure to claim the prize or a refusal or inability to comply with any of the Terms and Conditions, including having a valid documentation and being able to obtain a VISA timeously, will disqualify the winner and a new winner may be drawn in their place at the sole discretion of the Promoters and time permitting for the new winner to obtain a VISA and arrange travel to Spain.
18. Except in so far as is provided for in the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, the outcome of the draw is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
19. The Promoters reserve the right to vary, suspend, postpone or terminate the Gift with Purchase, any prizes, or any aspect thereof, for any reasons whatsoever and without notice. In such event, you hereby waive any rights or expectations which you may have against adidas and acknowledge that you will not have any recourse or claim of any nature against adidas.
20. The Brand, Promoters and its Affiliates will collect and use your personal data listed herein in order to enable your participation in this Gift with Purchase and for related online activities. As an entrant, your personal data will be used to enter you in this Gift with Purchase and for the Promoter’s, its affiliates and subsidiaries’ marketing purposes in the form of announcing you as a winner. We keep your personal data to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected or as required by applicable laws or regulations. We will not use your personal data for a different purpose without first obtaining your permission. We do not allow third parties to use your personal information.
21. All entrants indemnify the Promoters, its advertising agencies, advisers, suppliers, and nominated agents against any and all claims, damages or losses resulting from their participation in this Gift with Purchase arising from negligent acts or omissions of the Promoter.
22. The Promoters assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of entries. The Promoters are not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or telephone lines, computer online systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry to be received by the Promoters on account of technical problems, human error or traffic congestion on the internet or at any web site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to Entrant's or any other person's computer relating to or resulting from participation in this Gift with Purchase or downloading any materials in this Gift with Purchase.
23. You can choose to be excluded from direct marketing by notifying the relevant retailer/s and/or adidas in writing or by registering a block on any registry which adidas is bound by law to recognise. adidas will not charge you a fee to update this request on its systems. adidas will give effect to any changes requested by you as soon as reasonably possible.
