#MOTM Bass Battle DJ Competition T's & C's
- The competition runs from (00h01) Monday, 01 August to midnight Thursday 25 August 2022 (entries closing date)
- Studio 88 will disregard any entry submissions from 00:01 onwards on Friday, 26 August 2022.
- The Promoter is: Studio 88 ("Studio 88") Group of companies, whose registered office is, Aeroton Business Park, 30 O'Connor Place, Aeroton, Johannesburg, 2013.
- This competition is open to all residents of the Republic of South Africa who are in possession of a valid identity document, except any person who is-
4.1 a director, member, partner, spouse, life partner, immediate family member, employee or agent of, or consultant to the Promoter or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by, the Promoter; or
4.2 a director, member, partner, spouse, life partner, immediate family member, employee or agent of, or consultant to the supplier of goods or services in connection with the competition.
- By entering this competition, you agree to comply with and abide by these terms and conditions. Entrants are to be 18 years and older.
- Entrants must be residents of South Africa.
- Entrants are to be proficient in playing on CDJ's and a Mixer.
- DJs with 2 years or more experience in the industry are eligible to enter.
- Open to all genres of music compilation mixes, including but not limited to, Hip-Hop, House music, Amapiano, and Scratching.
- The 15-minute mix entry is to be an uploaded link for the judge's perusal and have the #Studio88 and #MOTM.
- The mix should be 'clean' and devoid of any profanity, racism and politics.
- The Entrant confirms by their entry, submitted on the Studio 88 website is their mix (owner) is an original compilation and that they are fully entitled to submit this entry as their own.

- Failure to complete all fields and to submit a hi-res photo and bio would deem your entry incomplete and therefore not eligible.
- The Entrant agrees and grants the Promoter and the public the right to download their mix at no cost and with no user rights attached.
- Entry submissions close 25 August 2022, and no submissions entered thereafter will be considered or accepted as eligible.
- The Top 5 finalist mixes voted by the judges, and Studio 88 management will be announced on 31 August 2022.
- The Top 5 DJ music mixes submitted to the competition grant Studio 88 the permission and the right to upload their mixes on their SoundCloud page.
- Except in so far as is provided for in the Act 68 of 2008, the judges' decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
- Both the winning DJ and runners-up will be contacted by Studio 88 via WhatsApp and email and announced on 31 August 2022 on Studio 88 social media platforms.
- The winning DJ will receive R10 000 cash along with an ellesse hamper comprised of 5 outfits - 1 outfit per DJ set up to 5 sets) Hampers to be redeemed at a pre-agreed Studio 88 store
- The 1st and second runners-up will receive a R2000 voucher, with the 3rd and 4th runner-up receiving an ellesse hamper of 1 outfit per runner-up. Studio 88 shopping voucher to be redeemed at a pre-agreed Studio 88 store.
- The Entrants grant the Promoter the right to promote their mixes to the public on their website and social media platforms. The public are free to download these mixes for private use at no charge.
- The Promoter is not responsible or subject to any copyright, intellectual property or trade infringement that could arise due to the digital sharing and dissemination of mixes submitted by the Entrants.
- The Promoter reserves the right to vary, suspend, postpone or terminate the competition and any prizes, or any aspect thereof, for any reasons whatsoever and without notice. In such event, you hereby waive any rights or expectations which you may have against the Promoter and acknowledge that you will not have any recourse or claim of any nature against the Promoter. Included in this is the right of the Promoter to select a new winner of the campaign should the initial winner conducts themselves, make statements, posts or in any other manner or form acts in a way which is deemed or may be deemed to be damaging to the Studio 88 brand in any manner.
- The Promoter will collect and use the Entrants' entry data listed herein in order to enable your participation in this competition and for related online activities. Your personal data will be used to enter you in this competition and for marketing purposes, and, by participating in the competition, you consent to the transfer, storage and processing of the data in South Africa. We keep your personal data to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected or as required by applicable laws or regulations. We will not use your personal data for a different purpose without first obtaining your permission. We do not allow third parties to use your personal information.
- All Entrants indemnify the Promoter against any and all claims, damages or losses resulting from their participation in this competition arising from negligent acts or omissions by themselves.
- The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alteration of entries. The Promoter is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or telephone lines, online computer systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any email or entry to be received by Promoter on account of technical problems, human error or traffic congestion on the internet or at any web site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to Entrant's or any other person's computer relating to or resulting from participation in this competition or downloading any materials in this competition.
